Lithium house battery comparison
Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 100Ah vs iTECH120X PRO
The iTECH120X PRO has a 120Ah rating against the Ultra's 100Ah and a lower observed manufacturer selling price. The Ultra has a different case shape and documented IP67 protection. Those facts support a shortlist, but do not establish a winner for lifespan, reliability or boat compatibility.
Specification-based comparison. We have not bench-tested these models. Prices are dated observations, not live offers. Read the manufacturer sources and editorial policy.
Which battery should you shortlist?
Option 1
Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 100Ah
EPL-100BT-12V-G3
Consider the Ultra for a low-height compartment or a system designed around its documented interfaces and enclosure specification. Check the exact G3 manual rather than an older B-TEC guide.
Option 2
iTechworld iTECH120X PRO
iTECH120X PRO with Bluetooth
Consider iTECH120X PRO when the additional rated capacity fits your budget and its taller case fits the installation. Resolve the conflicting published weight and confirm environmental requirements first.

Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 100Ah: This is the G3 Ultra, not the older G2 or Slimline 100Ah. Use the EPL-100BT-12V-G3 column: larger Ultra batteries have different current limits. The published height needs checking against the installation drawing and terminal clearance. Check manufacturer details ↗
iTechworld iTECH120X PRO: The manufacturer's specification table says 13.2kg, while its quick statistics and FAQ say 12.5kg. We have not resolved that discrepancy or weighed a sample. Ask for the weight and manual of the unit being supplied; do not use a guessed figure for a weight-critical installation. Check manufacturer details ↗

What does the extra 20Ah mean on a boat?
At an illustrative average load of 5A, an additional 20Ah corresponds to four hours before allowances. That is a calculation, not a runtime test. A fridge cycles on and off, other equipment shares the bank, and usable reserve depends on your chosen operating limits.
Use a measured daily energy log to decide whether the extra capacity changes your time away from charging. If your charging sources cannot replace yesterday's consumption, adding capacity only delays the shortfall. Compare the complete energy budget rather than buying on the largest label alone.
Case dimensions, water exposure and weight
The Ultra's published footprint is wider and lower; the iTechworld dimensions distinguish the case from the height including terminals. A cardboard mock-up is a useful way to check whether either can pass through the access opening with room left to service the connections.
Do not infer equivalent ingress protection from promotional photographs or the word marine. The Ultra source specifies IP67. Confirm the iTECH120X PRO's current environmental rating and installation instructions directly. Its source also gives two different weights, which we expose in the table instead of silently picking the favourable one.
Compare purchase price with the cost of fitting
Both displayed prices are dated manufacturer selling prices, with delivery outside the comparison. Promotions can change. Recheck the exact model in the basket and obtain a written installation scope before deciding which complete system costs less.
A lower battery price can be offset by different mounting, cables or charging equipment. Conversely, an existing compatible installation might make the lower purchase price meaningful. Neither higher price nor a longer list of features proves longer service life; that would require comparable evidence we do not yet have.
Common battery comparison questions
Is iTECH120X PRO 20% larger in rated capacity?
Yes: 120Ah is 20% more than 100Ah. That does not guarantee 20% more measured runtime in a real boat installation.
Can either replace my engine starting battery?
This is a house-battery comparison. Do not treat a discharge-current or pulse-current figure as engine-starting approval; check the exact engine and battery manufacturer's requirements.
Sources and comparison method
We matched the exact model codes to the manufacturer documents below on 2 October 2026. The selection advice is our interpretation of those specifications. We have not measured capacity, durability, waterproofing or service quality. We do not turn manufacturer cycle claims into a tested lifespan ranking.
