Which battery should you shortlist?

Option 1

Invicta Black 100Ah

SNLB12V100BT

Consider Black if 100Ah and its current limit cover the measured use, and the smaller footprint helps the installation.

Option 2

iTechworld iTECH120X PRO

iTECH120X PRO with Bluetooth

Consider iTECH120X PRO if the extra rated capacity and higher stated continuous discharge are useful and its case fits with terminal clearance.

Invicta Black 100Ah: SNLB12V100BT identifies this Black model. Do not transfer specifications from a different Invicta range or capacity. Maximum charge current is an equipment limit, not a recommended charger setting; use the applicable manual and complete system design. Check manufacturer details ↗

iTechworld iTECH120X PRO: The manufacturer's specification table says 13.2kg, while its quick statistics and FAQ say 12.5kg. We have not resolved that discrepancy or weighed a sample. Ask for the weight and manual of the unit being supplied; do not use a guessed figure for a weight-critical installation. Check manufacturer details ↗

When does another 20Ah help?

If the boat is typically close to its planned reserve before charging resumes, extra storage may be useful. If the battery routinely returns with ample reserve, a larger case may offer little benefit. Use a representative day of measurements to distinguish those situations.

For an illustrative 10Ah daily shortfall, another 20Ah of nameplate storage represents two such shortfalls before usable-capacity allowances. It does not solve a charging deficit indefinitely. Fix the energy balance rather than expecting extra storage to create energy.

Check the physical and electrical changes together

The iTechworld model is longer than the Black case and specifies a separate terminal-inclusive height. Check box dimensions and cable access rather than assuming every roughly 100Ah lithium battery shares a standard enclosure.

Their published current limits also differ. That can affect whether a proposed appliance belongs on the bank, but does not validate the existing wiring or fuse. Ask for the whole installation to be assessed if moving to larger loads.

Handle uncertain specifications before ordering

The unresolved iTechworld weight discrepancy is visible in the table. For a weight-sensitive boat, get the supplier to identify the actual shipped version and its mass. Do not replace conflicting information with an average that neither manufacturer nor a measurement supports.

The Black figure is an RRP; the iTechworld figure is a dated selling price. Obtain equivalent delivered quotes and current warranty terms before calling one cheaper overall. No long-term service-cost advantage has been measured here.

Common battery comparison questions

Does 120Ah guarantee an extra night at anchor?

No. The extra duration depends on measured consumption, usable reserve and charging. Capacity alone cannot promise another night.

Which weight should I use for iTECH120X PRO?

The source conflict is unresolved. Ask the supplier to confirm the mass of the exact version being supplied.

Sources and comparison method

We matched the exact model codes to the manufacturer documents below on 2 October 2026. The selection advice is our interpretation of those specifications. We have not measured capacity, durability, waterproofing or service quality. We do not turn manufacturer cycle claims into a tested lifespan ranking.

Specifications, offers and warranty terms can change. Match the supplied unit to its current manual before purchase. Report a correction with the model code and source.
