Which battery should you shortlist?

Option 1

Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 120Ah

EPL-120BT-12V-G3

Consider Ultra 120Ah when its case geometry, documented IP67 rating or supported wired monitoring suits the boat.

Option 2

iTechworld iTECH120X PRO

iTECH120X PRO with Bluetooth

Consider iTECH120X PRO when its geometry and lower observed purchase price suit the project, after resolving its weight and installation details.

Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 120Ah: Use the EPL-120BT-12V-G3 column of the manufacturer's table. A shared Ultra product page also describes other capacities. Confirm terminal clearance from the installation drawing; the listed case dimensions alone do not establish service access. Check manufacturer details ↗

iTechworld iTECH120X PRO: The manufacturer's specification table says 13.2kg, while its quick statistics and FAQ say 12.5kg. We have not resolved that discrepancy or weighed a sample. Ask for the weight and manual of the unit being supplied; do not use a guessed figure for a weight-critical installation. Check manufacturer details ↗

Compare the same capacity without assuming the same result

This pairing removes the 100Ah-versus-120Ah difference from the smaller Ultra comparison. Start with the shared capacity, then compare the details that change the installation. The batteries' delivered energy under a controlled test has not been measured by Boat Battery.

The discharge figures also need their original labels and conditions. Enerdrive specifies an operating temperature for its figure. A shared number in a table is not evidence that thermal behaviour, protection timing or performance near empty will match.

A low case versus a narrow case

A compartment beneath seating may favour a low enclosure; a slim battery box may favour a narrow one. Measure both the available space and the opening through which the battery must pass. Include the restraint, cable bend and service space in the mock-up.

Use terminal-inclusive dimensions where provided. If one manufacturer's drawing uses a different reference point, resolve that before ordering. Turning a battery to fit also requires checking its permitted mounting orientation, not just its outside measurements.

What would justify paying more?

The captured prices are for the selected 120Ah Ultra variant and the iTECH120X PRO, not the Ultra page's default 100Ah price. This distinction matters when a retailer puts several capacities behind one product page.

A higher invoice may be justified by a feature the installation actually uses, but it does not independently prove better reliability. Ask the supplier to demonstrate the proposed monitoring integration and provide the warranty terms. Compare delivered and fitted totals on the same scope.

Common battery comparison questions

Is this the Ultra 100Ah comparison?

No. This page uses EPL-120BT-12V-G3, the 120Ah Ultra variant, against the 120Ah iTECH120X PRO.

Have both been tested at 150A?

Not by Boat Battery. The table reproduces manufacturer ratings; it is not a comparative load test.

Sources and comparison method

We matched the exact model codes to the manufacturer documents below on 2 October 2026. The selection advice is our interpretation of those specifications. We have not measured capacity, durability, waterproofing or service quality. We do not turn manufacturer cycle claims into a tested lifespan ranking.

Specifications, offers and warranty terms can change. Match the supplied unit to its current manual before purchase. Report a correction with the model code and source.
