Lithium house battery comparison
Invicta Black 100Ah vs Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 100Ah
Black is the lighter 100Ah option with a 100A published maximum discharge. The Ultra lists 150A at 25°C, IP67 and wired communication in a wider, lower case. Match these differences to your installation before comparing Black's RRP with the Ultra's sale price.

Which battery should you shortlist?
Option 1
Invicta Black 100Ah
SNLB12V100BT
Shortlist Black for a modest-load bank where its narrower footprint and lower mass are useful. Verify that its current limit accommodates simultaneous loads.
Option 2
Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 100Ah
EPL-100BT-12V-G3
Shortlist Ultra when its higher published load limit, lower case or supported communications are useful. Check width and cable access carefully.

Invicta Black 100Ah: SNLB12V100BT identifies this Black model. Do not transfer specifications from a different Invicta range or capacity. Maximum charge current is an equipment limit, not a recommended charger setting; use the applicable manual and complete system design. Check manufacturer details ↗
Enerdrive B-TEC Ultra 100Ah: This is the G3 Ultra, not the older G2 or Slimline 100Ah. Use the EPL-100BT-12V-G3 column: larger Ultra batteries have different current limits. The published height needs checking against the installation drawing and terminal clearance. Check manufacturer details ↗

A narrow locker or a low locker?
These batteries solve different packaging problems. Compare the published width and height against the entire access route, including any lip on the hatch. A low case can still be impossible to install through a narrow opening.
The Black sheet lists dimensions without separately identifying terminal height. Ask for the drawing before treating the figures as equivalent to another manufacturer's height measurement. Add clearance for cables and a restraint that leaves the terminals accessible.
What the current difference changes
Capacity concerns how much energy can be stored; discharge current concerns how quickly it can be delivered. An occasional large appliance can be the deciding load even when daily consumption is low. Record that appliance's input requirements rather than relying on an inverter's advertising label.
The Ultra's higher published figure does not prove it is better for every low-current application. Equally, Black's lower price basis should not tempt a buyer to ignore an electrical limit. Select a compatible design, then compare the purchase cost.
Avoid paying for unused features
The Ultra source documents wired communication as well as Bluetooth, while the Black sheet confirms Bluetooth. If the boat has no supported central monitoring system, ask what practical benefit the wired interface would provide now or during a planned upgrade.
Get dealer quotes on the same day. An RRP and a promotional direct price are not a complete market comparison, and the difference may change once delivery, mounting and system configuration are included.
Common battery comparison questions
Do both have the same discharge rating?
No. Black SNLB12V100BT publishes 100A maximum; Ultra EPL-100BT-12V-G3 publishes 150A at 25°C.
Is the lighter battery necessarily less durable?
No such conclusion follows from weight alone. This comparison has no independent durability measurements.

We matched the exact model codes to the manufacturer documents below on 2 October 2026. The selection advice is our interpretation of those specifications. We have not measured capacity, durability, waterproofing or service quality. We do not turn manufacturer cycle claims into a tested lifespan ranking.
