Invicta Black 100Ah vs Xero 100Ah: Battery Comparison
Both store a rated 100Ah, but Black lists a 100A maximum discharge against Xero's 150A. Xero also documents IP67 and wired communication; Black is lighter and has a lower RRP. The premium buys different capabilities, not more nameplate capacity.

Which battery should you shortlist?
Option 1
Invicta Black 100Ah
SNLB12V100BT
Choose Black for a shortlist where the load fits its 100A limit, Bluetooth is sufficient and the proposed compartment suits its IP65 specification.
Option 2
Invicta Xero 100Ah
SNLX12V100BT
Choose Xero for a shortlist needing its higher published current limit or a confirmed CAN/RS485 integration. Check that those features solve a real requirement.

Invicta Black 100Ah: SNLB12V100BT identifies this Black model. Do not transfer specifications from a different Invicta range or capacity. Maximum charge current is an equipment limit, not a recommended charger setting; use the applicable manual and complete system design. Check manufacturer details ↗
Invicta Xero 100Ah: Xero SNLX12V100BT is different from Invicta Black, Compact and the older SNL12V100S. The datasheet distinguishes case height from terminal height. Its maximum discharge rating is reproduced as labelled, rather than silently relabelled as a tested continuous result. Check manufacturer details ↗

Same capacity, different electrical limits
A fridge-and-lighting bank and an inverter bank can require the same stored energy but very different instantaneous current. List the equipment that can operate simultaneously, then have its demand checked against the exact battery limits. Do not infer inverter compatibility from 100Ah alone.
If the actual load stays comfortably within the Black model's requirements, Xero's higher ceiling may add little practical benefit. Conversely, reducing the budget by selecting a battery with insufficient current capability would change the system's behaviour, even though the capacity label remains unchanged.
Does the extra protection and communication matter?
The datasheets specify different ingress ratings. They are enclosure specifications, not permission to place either battery wherever spray or standing water can reach it. The terminals, wiring and surrounding installation still need suitable protection.
A wired interface is valuable only when the receiving equipment supports the battery's protocol. Ask the installer to name the compatible display or inverter and the required cable. Phone monitoring alone does not require buying a wired integration you will never use.
Compare the premium on a complete quote
Both listed prices are manufacturer RRPs, making their basis clearer than a sale-price-versus-RRP comparison. Actual dealer prices can differ. Ask for the exact model codes on two otherwise equivalent quotes.
Black's lower published mass may matter in a small boat, but neither mass nor price proves build quality. Current limits, case fit, supported monitoring and the written warranty should determine whether the Xero premium is useful for your installation.
Common battery comparison questions
Will Xero 100Ah run my fridge longer than Black 100Ah?
Both have a 100Ah nameplate rating. This comparison has no independent runtime evidence establishing an advantage for either.
Is Invicta Black IP67?
The cited SNLB12V100BT datasheet says IP65; the SNLX12V100BT Xero sheet says IP67. Do not transfer ratings between ranges.

We matched the exact model codes to the manufacturer documents below on 2 October 2026. The selection advice is our interpretation of those specifications. We have not measured capacity, durability, waterproofing or service quality. We do not turn manufacturer cycle claims into a tested lifespan ranking.
