Which battery should you shortlist?

Option 1

Invicta Black 200Ah

SNLB12V200BT

Consider Black 200Ah for a system within its charging limits that needs Bluetooth monitoring and can accommodate its specified environment.

Option 2

Invicta Xero 200Ah

SNLX12V200BT

Consider Xero 200Ah if its higher charge ceiling, communication or enclosure rating is relevant to your planned installation.

Do not carry the 100Ah verdict into the 200Ah range

Model families do not scale uniformly. At 100Ah, Black and Xero have different discharge limits. At 200Ah, both datasheets state 200A maximum discharge, so paying for Xero does not increase that particular published figure.

The charge limits do differ: Black lists 150A maximum and Xero 200A. Compare those limits with the combined charging sources the installer proposes. A system that charges well below either figure will not automatically recharge faster with Xero.

The same footprint still needs a clearance check

Both list a 485mm length and 172mm width. Their height information uses different presentation: the Xero sheet identifies case and terminal height separately. Confirm the drawings before deciding a shared tray guarantees a straightforward replacement.

Black's published mass is lower. That can help handling, but access and restraint remain important for either battery. Plan the installation around the actual case and mounting instructions rather than wedging a smaller case into an old battery box.

Decide whether the extra features are worth the quote

Xero's IP67 and wired communication are documented differences. Neither is a substitute for a dry, suitable installation and compatible connected equipment. Ask how the proposed system uses them before treating them as mandatory upgrades.

Both prices are RRPs from the same manufacturer's range table, but local selling prices and included accessories may differ. Compare written quotes for the same scope and confirm the warranty for the chosen range and marine application.

Common battery comparison questions

Does Xero 200Ah have a higher discharge limit than Black 200Ah?

Not in the cited specifications: both list 200A maximum discharge. Their maximum charging figures differ.

Is the Xero price an actual dealer quote?

No. Both Invicta prices shown here are manufacturer RRPs, including GST.

Sources and comparison method

We matched the exact model codes to the manufacturer documents below on 2 October 2026. The selection advice is our interpretation of those specifications. We have not measured capacity, durability, waterproofing or service quality. We do not turn manufacturer cycle claims into a tested lifespan ranking.

Specifications, offers and warranty terms can change. Match the supplied unit to its current manual before purchase. Report a correction with the model code and source.
