Boat Battery home

Our network

Reliable power matters when you imagine a life aboard.

Boat Battery explores marine batteries and electrical choices. Our wider collection puts those choices alongside navigation, onboard systems, sailing skills and boat ownership.

The people and the purpose

We’re Gabriel and Kristy, a couple working towards a dream: buy a sailing yacht, move aboard and explore. Australia first, then the Pacific — and, hopefully, further.

As we started learning and researching, useful information was scattered everywhere: sailing schools, clubs, marinas, brokers, equipment and marine services. We wanted a resource that helped us connect it all, so we started building one.

YouSail brings the bigger picture together. Each specialist website explores a different part of the journey. We’re learning too, and creating the resources we wish we’d had at the start.

We want to connect people who sail, people who want to sail, and the people and businesses that make sailing possible.

We’re looking for sponsors.

Help us build these resources and bring our sailing dream closer. We’d love to hear from marine brands, local businesses and people who share our love of life on the water. Find out about sponsorship, products, services and other ways to support the journey.

Explore our websites

Sailing and boating lead the collection, followed by our four diving websites. We’ve also included Sailing Campus as an additional learning resource.

Turn the estimate intoan installation plan.

Take the load estimate, charging sources and cable runs to a qualified marine electrician. Our installation guide helps you ask about isolation, over-current protection, ventilation and compliance before work begins.
