Brand buying guide

Revolution Marine Lithium Batteries
Australian brand, marine and touring. Manufacturer specifications — not independently bench-tested.
Disclosure. No brand has paid to appear, be ranked or be described here, and none sees a page before publication. Some outbound retailer links may earn a commission. Manufacturer specifications are marked claimed unless a complete independent evidence file is linked.
Revolution battery suitability and support
The sensible middle. Priced for a real cruising bank, with telemetry you will actually read, and a model line-up that changes often enough to complicate a later expansion.
Revolution sits between the premium Australian brands and the value end, and for a coastal cruiser in the 30 to 40 foot range that is usually the right place to be. The Bluetooth telemetry is genuinely useful rather than a marketing feature: cell voltages, temperature and cycle count, in an app that does not fight you.
Everything in the specification column is a manufacturer claim. Boat Battery has not published an independent bench file for these products, so compare the current manual and warranty terms before relying on a figure.
The practical caution is range churn. If you buy 400 Ah now and want to add 200 Ah in three years, the case you bought may no longer exist in the same form. Mixing generations in one parallel bank is a real constraint, so buy the capacity you will want in five years, or plan a separate second pack.

What we like
- Well-priced for cruising-scale banks
- Readable, useful Bluetooth telemetry
- Dealer network plus direct sales
Where it falls short
- Model line-up changes between generations, complicating later expansion
- Not independently bench-tested by us — specifications are claims
- Marine range shares design with the touring line
Best suited to
Coastal cruisers between 30 and 40 feet buying one bank once.
Look elsewhere if
You intend to expand the bank incrementally over several years.
Revolution battery capacities and model checks
Use these voltage and capacity profiles to prepare a shortlist. Ask the supplier for the exact model code, current datasheet, permitted marine application, charge and discharge limits, dimensions and warranty terms. A brand-level comparison does not establish that every model is suitable for the same boat.
Compare alternatives at the same voltage and usable energy. A 24V 100Ah battery stores about twice the nominal energy of a 12V 100Ah battery and is not a direct replacement for a 12V bank.
